The Artist.

TNMOT AZTRO co founder.

Nycole Hartfield, better known as Nik, is a 22-year-old wardrobe stylist, dancer, and an all-around creative based in New York City. She was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. Having a background in the performing arts, she has always been around a creative environment. Training in ballet, African dance, tap, swing dance, jazz, modern/contemporary and hip hop since the age of 5, she continues to dance today with every opportunity granted.

However, it was during her professional dance career as a teenager where she fell in love with fashion. Being discovered from a dance company photo shoot, she was asked to model for a local designer. From then on, she began to work and network with photographers, designers, stylists, and other models. Soon after graduating high school, and attending Temple University for a year, she realized that is was fashion she wanted to pursue.

Being accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and moving to New York City has exposed her to various opportunities, including interning for Zac Posen, working/attending fashion shows during NYFW and interning at Chaiken Clothing showroom. Surrounded by an abundance of success has inspired her to pursue a career as a stylist.

In 2010, Nik had already begun exploring wardrobe styling. She would style and assist during photo shoots for her older sister, Phylicia Hartfield, who is a photographer. She also styled costumes for dance pieces and created photo shoot concepts for EQuillibrium Dance Theatre, her former dance company in Connecticut. However, it wasn't up until August 2013 when she decided to pursue wardrobe styling professionally. Since then, she has been collaborating with various photographers, models, and top agencies all in hopes to continue building her portfolio and perfecting her craft. She takes inspiration from street wear, minimalism and geometrical shapes. Her personal style is a mixture of classy, vintage and chic but still urban, edgy, and androgynous.

Today, Nik is finishing up her last year at FIT. Already with an Associates degree in Fashion Merchandising, she will be graduating in May 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Advertising & Marketing Communications as well. She is a public relations/styling intern at Xcel Brands, Inc. working with designers like Isaac Mizrahi, Liz Claiborne, and more. She continues to dance on the FIT Dance Company and take classes throughout the city whenever she can. Also with an interest in singing and acting, it's hard to say which career path Nik will chose.

All and all, with the love and support of God, her family, friends, and her cat, Oliver Garçon, she remains humble and thankful for every experience, whether good or bad.

Nik Hartfield still continues to work with TNMOT AZTRO.

Equators - Co Creator - Designer - Installation Conceptualist

David Borawski lives and works in Hartford, Connecticut, and has exhibited his work in galleries and museums in the United States and abroad. He received his BFA from the Hartford Art School of the University of Hartford. A multi-media installation artist, his work is conceptually driven, drawing from personal experiences and reflecting upon pop culture, radical movements and art history. Each installation combines multiple elements, i.e. sculpture, video, digital images, painting, to present visual and mental signs, “clues” that evoke sub/conscious nostalgia as a means to provoke layers of possibilities. The focus is on iconic societal events that have influenced major shifts in our collective consciousness, suggesting connections while exposing them as uncanny precursors to present-day realities.
